Wow!!! For those of you not easily offended you’ve got to check out Lucha VaVoom next time it’s in LA. A small group of friends went to watch what is billed as “a non-stop, action-packed scream-a-thon, where Mexican Masked wrestlers flip and fly, performing breathtaking acrobatic feats.” Not our typical cultured fare but what a great time!

We are proud to announce our 2010 IIDA Calibre Award nomination – a collaboration with Jeffrey Kalban Architects, Edson Design of Los Angeles and USC Capital Construction. The Calibre Awards are considered to be the design industry’s premier award for design excellence, and honor teams who have gone beyond the usual expectations of our profession. We look foward to having our entire team, seated and cheering together, at this year’s event taking place at the Century Plaza Hotel on Friday, May 14, 2010. Best of Luck!

The IIDA Professional Development Committee recently teamed up with Pacific Office Interiors, Sidemark, InterfaceFlor, and Gensler for a series of programs that hopes to help others in the industry succeed in their job hunting endeavors. This series offers great resources and tips for those on the job hunt, and aims to help them navigate these sometimes treacherous waters once they get an interview. Our own Ward Smith contributed to this committee, and said he was proud to lend advice, given his 24 years in the industry.
